You're definitely going to be flicking paint with this one!  There's no getting away from it, sorry!   It's a great way to shake off the nerves and anxiety right from the start, before heading into the more intricate detail of the poppies.

THE PROCESS
I work hard at breaking down each painting into layers that are achievable.  I guide you through each stage, which are the basic steps to you achieving 'your version' of the master painting.  You don't have pre-sketched outlines or templates like a colouring book.  Your canvas is blank, awaiting for your unique style to emerge, even from the very first step.  I really love seeing how your paintings naturally evolve through each of the stages which are structured, but also allow your own expression and flair to shine through.

The tools you will use aren't limited to paint brushes.  I use a multitude of bits and pieces to create shapes and lines across the canvas. I vary the techniques so you can experience different things and hopefully find some element of the workshop you may feel you excelled at.

I believe this workshop is rather therapeutic due to it's repetitive nature.   We use rags, stamp tools, stencils and a fun tool which enables you to almost doodle your way to the finish line.  One of my favourites and excellent for a more structured, but playful end result.

Definitely the most basic of all the workshops.  Tulips is a perfect introduction to the 'non believers' who think they can't paint.   You can allow yourself to loosen up a bit and allow those 'paint drips' to fall.  I use simplified techniques to create lines and shapes across the canvas using rags, stamp tools, pipettes and brushes.

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
The goals I have with my workshops are to firstly have fun!  I see it more as a few hours of trying something new and maybe being surprised at what you achieve. I'm not expecting masterpieces from anyone and really wouldn't want you to put that pressure on yourself.  I do know however, that many of my 'pupils' have been proud enough to hang their paintings on their wall at home or the office.

With Happy Hour you have such a fun and playful piece of art to take home with you.  It's a workshop for those of you who are open to a few 'splashes' here and there.  You have to trust the process with this workshop which is built up of surprisingly simple steps. We use rags, brushes and a cool little tool which gives you the ability to draw with paint.
